I thought the power unit was supposed to be quiet when the machine was idle. My unit is only a couple of months old but from the first time I switched the machine on it has been very noisy. The only thing that varies is the light!
Should I contact support?
The fan(s) in the original power unit were very noisy at all times, the revised power supply has been improved. Do you have an Ax50, an Ax50T or an Fx50? The first has the original design power unit, the other two have the revised unit.

There are back plates on Thingiverse that let you swap out the default PSU fan for a bigger and quieter one I bought off Aliexpress. It was one of the first things I did when I got my A250. Just make sure you have the right size and voltage fan.
