I was considering the manner in which Luban opens. It is set to process on opening in CNC and Laser Cutting and I wondered if there was a setting that would keep it to opening on the editor. In fact when it starts up Luban should offer a dialogue box that lets the user choose the section required and also which segment of the required section was needed. (preferably it will also be able to remember where it was when the application closed) All it would take are a few radio buttons to implement the available options.
The alpha information box that appears every time the CNC section is invoked does not need to display every time the application is used. I know it can be switched off for the session but the machine may be switched on and off many times in a day. Alpha software may contain serious errors, and any resulting instability could cause crashes or data loss. At what stage is the Luban CNC software in its development cycle?
Saved origin does not appear to be persistent. A power outage removed my origin and moving the table a small amount on the Y axis removed my origin. Should the origin be persistent and to what degree? Should the origin know where the module is when the save origin selection is made?
