Picked up a V6 0.4mm Nozzle X from [e3d](https://e3d-online.com/products/v6-nozzles)

Fitting is pretty straightforward, although the existing nozzle is on pretty tight.
I found it easier to take off the thermal protector sleeve, then take out the top and bottom parts of the hotend, re-fit the sleeve then hand tighten both parts before a little tighten with a spanner.

After installing I did the following:

1. Level the bed, I do this manually as I use glass. Be careful it doesn’t scrape the bed as it’s a bit longer (didn’t measure it) and I noticed in manual calibration it will move to point 1 already lowered. It doesn’t do this for subsequent calibration points.
2. Validate Extruder Calibration - [Guide](https://all3dp.com/2/extruder-calibration-6-easy-steps-2/)
3. Validate K-Factor - [Top Layer(s) not completed](https://forum.snapmaker.com/t/top-layer-s-not-completed/7240/17)

I found it worthwhile to increase the hotend temperate by 5C, I used 195C with stock and AMZD3D PLA. So 200 with the Nozzle X.

How much lower is the nozzle tip now than the measurement sensor and fan duct?

One thing I’ve been curious about lately is _true_ 3D printing (e.g. topographical, non-planar top layers), which requires the g-code editor to know about clearance, and obviously required that there actually be some. Would be cool to come up with a unique 3D module hack for it.
