I appreciate that you postpone the start of the 2W module - the Dual Extruder’s start was full of frustrations, and my assumption is that release was hastened because of promised deadlines - if you can avoid this with the 2W laser and deliver a better product, but later, I think everyone here will be happy. It feels so bad to spend quite a bunch of money and receive a product that feels immature/beta state. Please take all the time you need to produce a stable, mature, reliable product that makes us rejoice!
Regarding expectations: I’m looking forward to attack materials that the blue laser cannot, especially metal. I fail to figure out how much the IR laser can do to copper. The coolest thing would be if it was powerful enough to evaporate the thin copper layer on PCB raw material, which would allow to to isolation routing directly with the laser. I tried to find reliable information on that on the internet, but cannot find any. There are some dubious claims that people succeeded, but if it was that easy I would have expected more findings. Can anybody tell?
As such, I’d prefer it as strong as possible - would take 4W instead of 2 if I could get them, or even more… Not sure what is technically feasible.

Thanks Jade for the update!
My expectations would be:
1. Ability to engrave on a wide variety of metals.
2. Ability to engrave on transparent acrylic.
My hopes / wish list:
1. Cutting of metal, 2mm or thicker
2. Cutting of transparent acrylic, 5mm or thicker
Both are for real-life products I’ve been requested to make:
1. Industrial Asset Tags
2. Acrylic Night Lights
