Network settings button

Has the network settings button disappeared?

Where can I change network settings for the printer inside the slicer? There used to be a button for that.

This way the connection should work for 2.0 and artisan:

That was what I was trying to do, but the button is no longer there.

It was there a few versions ago.

(I had to edit the .conf file manually to fix it)

I also noticed this issue. I will report it to the software team tomorrow to fix it as soon as possible.

I noticed that your interface machine model is U1, and the U1 does not require an entry. If you switch the machine model to another one, you will be able to see it.

But that is not true. I have the U1 in LAN mode. And the printer changes IP after the last firmware update. So it could no longer connect. I edited the config file manually, and set the correct IP, and then it connected again. Also when I first set up the printer, I had to use the button and change the settings.

Okay, I understand. It should be caused by an IP change. You might need to directly check the current IP address on the machine and change it.

No, that doesn’t make sense. I should be able to set the IP in the the slicer software, for where it should connect. There was no reason to remove it.

The button used to be there before, now it is gone.

Based on what I understand, after selecting the U1 model, this icon has never been added in that position for the U1 model before.

Because the U1 does not need the specific entry to set up;

you can directly enter the machine’s IP address in the “Add Device” section of the slicing software. Other machines, however, require the icon as an entry point for setup.

You can submit a ticket at the same time in case the technical staff or fellow users in the forum don’t respond promptly.

Seems weird to make this different from all the other printers.

It is confusing. But, editing the config file directly does work, so I guess I will do that.

Adding the printer all over again just because of an IP-address change is cumbersome
