I printed a Benchy using MatterHackers’ Tough PLA and it came out fine. However, when I try the Same GCode file with this other company’s PLA, I get this type of failure. I figure it needs some different temperatures or print speeds, but thought I’d ask the Snapmaker community experts for some initial guidance, before wasting a lot of filament!

An axis shift like that has nothing to do with PLA or filament changes. I am guessing your metal plate shifted on the bed mid print.
As for settings, minor changes will be needed for better prints with different brands of filaments and colors of filaments. Testing would be needed for that to get the best results.

TK, I wondered about that? Wouldn’t the print head have had to catch on the print during transit, to knock it so far?

From your picture it looks like you have a PEI bed on top of the magnetic bed. It does not take too much to slide it sideways.
The print only has to catch on a small part. Magnets are pulling the bed down, but not stopping it going across very much.

I would support this - it has been seen before by many users (see e.g. here: [Magnetic bed and 3D print head bumping into model](https://forum.snapmaker.com/t/magnetic-bed-and-3d-print-head-bumping-into-model/36353)). Sometimes parts of the print warp up, or you have a blob of overextrusion, and when the nozzle catches this, the magnets of the platform are not strong enough to keep the sheet in place. Some people added more magnets - this is how I solved it: [Magnetic print sheet fixation - #10 by Hauke](https://forum.snapmaker.com/t/magnetic-print-sheet-fixation/25199/10)

ive had the same style bed with the same issues. as said before the plate has shifted. in my case the plate would bow ever so slightly and catch the head and shift it. to stiffen it up i spray glued it to an old sm print sheet. it doesn’t take much to shift. think of it this way. super magnets can’t be pulled apart, but can be slipped apart pretty easy.
