OK.

So, for me, bad news.

I used Windows Edge browser and installed the extension.

This ‘appears’ to work. No weird labels, filaments are all wrong, but I can easily change that.

Some changes are apparent in the settings. Like Exclude Objects IS checked.

So, this is bad news for me because I am very security conscious, and I won’t use native Chrome or Edge(essentially native Chrome). LOTS of good reasons NOT to use those browsers ever.

Brave, with Shields Up and Privacy Badger enabled is very secure, and really limits all the tracking activity.

So, I will continue to test but I will never switch over to either Chrome or Edge, so this is a non-starter for me.

And you may need to clearly indicate that Brave Browser is NOT supported.

A couple of questions.

I notice that your script doesn’t change Classic to Arachne, nor does it replace GRID with GYROID.

Is this on purpose? Both of those changes are something I have to do now, manually, for EVERY SINGLE PRINT. (Not your fault, but automating this would be great).

Any other tests I can perform, let me know.

Thank you for testing this and sharing the results.

I still find the results weird, as there are other users that tested the extension in brave without any problem. So that‘s the reason why it is stated to be supported. For chrome I can guarantee myself that it is working correctly but brave I haven‘t tested myself.

Yet on your test conversion in chrome the filaments were all wrong which is also not normal and a problem the other users, as well as myself, don‘t encounter.

Did you only test one single file all the time ? Just to make sure this is not a file related problem ?

To solve that problem I would need to have more information about this special case.

For the Grid/Gyroid and Arachne/classic this is fully intentional. The main reason for this concerter is not to change settings but to preserve the creator settings while resolving the different slicer problems causing errors. So if the creator did manually change the infill this will be preserved but otherwhise it intentionally doesn‘t touch the other settings and keeps them as standard.

I can look into the possibility to add infill changes as an additional setting for the converter, yet for now I tried to keep the converter simple.

If you click on the link to github there are installation instructions depending what browser you are using.

If you want to install it in firefox you can download it via the link from firefox add on store.

If you want to use it in chrome or similar browsers you need to download and install it manually following the instructions on github

Personally as feedback I’d rather it stayed like this - you get consistent results then, I have my own profile in Orca to change infill etc

No need to over-complicate this convertor IMHO

No problem on the infill changes. Not essential for me.
I would like to understand the issues I’m seeing with Brave. If I could use that browser and your MBE this would be a valuable workflow upgrade.
I used two different models, both of which I had successfully printed before using an unconverted 3mf file off Makerworld.
I used one of those same models in Edge browser and it worked.

If you want you can send me a pm with the exact brave browser version and the add-ons you are using and the link to the makerworld file that isn‘t converting correctly in brave.

I will have a look at this when I‘m back home from holidays.
