# Enclosure and FW/SW

Hi guys,  
I’ve put my Snapmaker Original inside its enclosure and I’ve also connected the doors contacts cable… with the last FW/SW have I to do something else like configuration or enabling the door open feature?

PS: the door open pause feature is working just for the laser engravement correct?

Here is the installation guide. You have to check at least if the doorswitch is responding correctly.

Thanks xchrisd!  
Yes, I’ve followed the same guide that was also inside the box… I’ve checked that the doorswitch is working fine (I can hear the clicks!) but it’s no clear to me if I have to enable or do something on the SW side becuse on the guide there is nothing about it if I’m not wrong.

I’m asking this because I got strange behaviour printing 3D with the doorswitch connected: it seemed like wrong calibration but I’ve checked and it was fine.  
Now I’ve disconnected the doorswitch cable and everithing seems ok.

Yes. The Door Detection features only works in the laser engraving/cutting mode and in USB mode.
