I have the Snapmaker 2.0 A350/A350T/F350. I recently upgraded Luban to 4.10.1 and the Firmware to 1.18.1_20231103 and the Touchscreen is 4.6.3. Using the 40 watt Laser Head.
Since that upgrade my DFX files are importing at 10% of there correct size. This includes older DXF files that have imported perfectly in the past, If I move the decimal over one spot, ie multiple by 10, then it is the correct size.
What is causing this? Should I drop back to an older revision and if so which one is suggested?
Note: I dropped Luban back to 4.9.1 and now the DXF files import properly. Tried 4.10.0 to narrow it down further, the problem returned. So it appears the ābugā is 4.10.X
Anyone else has this: I check for updates on the touchscreen, it shows me 1.18.1 with 75 MB size, I say āUpdateā and it never starts the download? Will now do via USB stickā¦
So Iāve found an issue with both 1.8.0 and 1.8.1. A350 with enclosure, even if you set the enclosure settings to disable the door open protection or set the gcode to disable the door protection, with the door open itāll run like normal and act like itās engraving, however the laser itself doesnāt actually fire.
Air pump control (M8-M9) only works when 40W module is attached.
It would be nice if it wasnāt disabled when the 1.6 or 10W were attached.
There are users out there that have made air assist adapters that would like to take advantage of the air pump with their other modules.
It would be great if air assist function was integrated directly into Luban. This means that people who have printed their own air assist could also use the other lasers and if someone doesnāt have one, this option wouldnāt be a problem.
USB stick worked. Memory/Storage definitely no problem, my Touchscreen is perhaps 15-20% filled, rest is free.
Oh, perhaps just one remark: While the update was running, I decided to check something on the DX module and removed a hotend, not really thinking about it. That caused the āabnormal hotendā-error message to pup up, and I thought: Dran, did you now brick your device by interrupting the update? Confirmd the error, update seemed to progress and finally said ācompletedā. However, this was not true - I rebooted the device, and it on itself restarted the update process and finished it successfully. So: bad that during update the error is not suppressed, good that this error did not brick the device, bad that the update claimed to be done while it was not, good that the machine resumed on itself and finished properly.
iām using the 10W laser, was on V1.16.7 where everything was running fine except for the bed slamming into the stopper & waiting there until the head has finished homing.
Yesterday i updated to V1.18.1 from the controller and now i have s a little messā¦ and wondering if anyone else has had these problems since the update to V1.18.1 ?
Iām running repetitive jobs so it shouldnāt fluctuate all to muchā¦ I can run the job with 0.15mm thickness twice then measurement always recognises 0. I have to shut down and start again.
When it does work though, the controller is doing bizzar thingsā¦ It blinks a black screen like if it had crashed but then recovers & when i press start, the blue job complete % goes to 100%, then it slowly reverses to where it actually is on the job and proceeds as if nothing were.
I would be happy for any help or advice !
Cheers
That sounds like you have some wonky connection - check all your plugs!
The only thing I can say something helpful to is the 100% - and then 5% thing: I had the same, and it seems that the machine uses the first lines of GCode to get to a more precise time estimate, and while it does so, it shows 100%. After it goes to a one-digit number, for me it stayed there and then progressed according to how much job was done, like it should.
I agree, I have both the 10W and 40W laser. I would like to do the air assist mod for the 10W but need a way to turn the pump on/off from Luban or M-Code without having the 40W attached.
I have just updated the firmware to the latest version V1.18.2 There is still an issue with it and that is when using the 40W ( i havenāt tried the 10W yet) from Snapmaker 2.0 display and you turn the laser on to locate home position and goto the jog mode the laser turns off. This is very annoying. works OK from Luban.
Also when setting up for 4 axis engraving with the 40W laser you can not adjust the rotary home position. Why?
Thanks
Steve
I can tap on the update button but nothing happens (no reaction of the button itself like turning to blue)
Memory according to the touch screen: around 3000 MB free
same problem with 1.19.0: no way to update on the touch screen
update via USB stick is NOT working this timeā¦ I started, it went up to 100% and now the display shows āUpdating,ā for 1 hourā¦ what now? I donāt dare to switch the machine offā¦ -.-
Same here. Thereās three stages on the touchscreen, on the last one nothing happens.
This type of problem has been on and off for years. Youād think theyād fix it by now.
Yeah, right.
Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug that Touchscreen could not check or download new version updates in some scenario
āAdded Laser Shot Output Power Settings support
In this update, you can use Laser Shot Output Power Settings for fixing the 10W Laser Module which did not show laser indicator in Laser Job Preparationā
You can change the settings via Settings > Maintenance > Laser Calibration Parameters > Laser Shot Output Power
