Custom Firmware for Snapmaker U1 - Enhanced Features & WebRTC Camera

Thank you to the Snapmaker team for deliver the U1 to my door-step.

I’m sharing a custom firmware that adds SSH access,
hardware-accelerated camera support with WebRTC streaming,
and additional capabilities to the Snapmaker U1.

Firmware Variants

Basic Firmware

• SSH access (root/snapmaker and lava/snapmaker)
• USB ethernet adapter hot-plug support
• Native camera integration with Fluidd

Note: Minimal risk, as there are no changes to the printing functionality.

Extended Firmware

All basic features plus:

• Hardware-accelerated camera (Rockchip MPP/VPU)
• WebRTC low-latency streaming
• USB camera support with hot-plug detection
• Fluidd v1.35.0 with timelapse plugin (only ability to view timelapses from Web)
• Dual camera support (internal + USB)

Note: Minimal risk, as there are no changes to the printing functionality, only camera functions.

Note: Time-lapses unavailable via mobile app with Snapmaker Cloud

Flashed “extended” version and it works really really well.

Builtin camera WebRTC stream is super responsive, low load and very nice quality.

I installed the extended version - everything works fine, the camera image in the Fluid interface is smooth and of good quality, SSH - I can connect (I’m not changing anything for now). Thank you “paxx12” for your work

TimeLaps doesn’t work. I check it before printing. It doesn’t record! I check it through Fluidd. !!!

Can someone tell me how to enable timelapse using the vanilla Orca? I’m not using SnOrca. I’m on extended 1.0.0

Is it possible to add that the u1 will start with any count of mounted heads?

I destroyed one and can currently not print althougth I have 3 remaining heads.
