Hi Friends. I just finished finished a cut with the CNC module, but not sure what I did to get the stringy parts on this piece. I have been using some scrap plywood and the 1.5mm single flute… Should I have sanded before I started the CNC? Would a thin pass on the entire logo have fixed this? Any suggestions?
Some wood and especially plywood is just stringy.
Sometimes just doing a 2nd pass of the exact same thing will take care of most of it.
If you’re using Fusion 360 you can do two passes. On the first just select “stock to leave” and leave a small amount like .5 mm. Might have to play with this to find out what works best with particular wood.
A lot of times if you just sand the top lightly it will take care of it. A mesh sanding pad (scotch brite pad) works well. Sometimes an exacto knife is needed.
