Carving with the Rotary Modual

I am trying to carve a simple lined butterfly on a wooden dowel. I want to carve it and not laser engrave. See attached photos

I created the toolpath and generated the G-Code. Results, I can see the simulation but no toolpath hence no G-Code and no time estimates. What am doing wrong?

Good Question - I admittedly never looked if Luban displayed valid estimates for milling jobs… To me it looks like a bug, and I’d suggest you raise a ticket with Snapmaker Support.

The GCode you should get if you click “Export” bottom right.

I don’t think you’ll get any g-code because you applied the butterfly to the roller instead of milling it away! If you want to mill it, the butterfly has to be deeper than the diameter of the roller. But in the picture, it looks like you applied the butterfly to the roller! I hope you understand what I mean. There needs to be a recess where you want the butterfly so that a milling cutter can remove material. Your picture shows the butterfly higher than the diameter of the cylinder!

When you mill the entire cylinder to a smaller diameter, the picture would look like this, because then the butterfly would protrude, but I think you only applied the butterfly!?
