Are there 2 different 2w lasers, or did I find something awesome?

I was just looking into the firmware, and saw that there’s apparently 2 different 2W lasers:

Googling “guangyuan laser” and “lianpin laser” leads to some interesting results (Lianpin apparently specializes in fiber lasers…).

Does anyone know why there’s 2 of them, or did I just find that the team might be working on a new fiber laser module? (and if so, how much do I need to pay to get in the beta test for the fiber laser :rofl: )

It’s most likely they have two suppliers for the 2W IR that need slightly different control methods so it’s in there to identify and control them properly.

EDIT: Looking into it, that seems to be it.

Seems the original HW version was guangyuan, and they swapped suppliers to lianpin.
