As it is right now, there is no way to set the printer to not use Zhop on the main print and use it only on moves to the tower. If you disable it in the filament profile, It will ignore the profile setting “zhop for tower” This is another… really dumb oversight. As the prime tower can be the only messy thing on my bed somtimes and loosing a good print from it sucks. Zhop was made for this kinda thing, I refuse to run it on the whole print, totally un needed.
The best i can do is set my petg interface material to have Zhop on….. but thats … only half of it.
You mean you want to separate the Z-lift actions for the wipe tower and the model, with individual on/off switches for each, right?
Right now, I print without Zhop. There is a setting to use Zhop for prime tower moves, But it doesnt do anything wihout just turning it on for the whole print from what i can tell. I would love to be able to have Zhop for prime tower moves, They can be a bit messy somtimes with petg+pla, so some extra insurance on the travel would be great.
Then my understanding is correct—you want to enable Z-hop for the wipe tower separately.
Yah. I dont use Zhop on my prints, Find it just makes issues. Tuned well and dont need it. BUT the tower can be messy even with good settings sometimes. So having it always hop on those moves would be great. We also need to be able to wipe in the tower. AKIK this is part of the current prusa version.
