hi all, i have recalibrated my machine multiple times and i cant get it to have a nice print in about 3 months now. i also am having a hard time getting lubon to connect to the machine. does anyone have any tips?
You have to be more precise. Maybe share some photos of your print defects?
Is your filament dry? This could highly affect the print quality.
Your nozzle is too far away from the print bed. Try to decrease your live t offset of the specific nozzle on the touchscreen while printing.
The z-offset is saved till the next leveling.
Your model surface looks like wet filament or bad bonding.
What material is it and what temperature was your print?
May try another spool?
it was a brand new spool of white snapmaker PLA. maybe it was a bad batch? all the print settings for the heat are what the system defaults, i’ve never changed them. should i try and level again and then do the z-offset calibration? its just odd that the left nozzle prints pretty clean and then the right is all messed up like that
Does the same filament print well on the left nozzle?
You could simply adjust the live z offset for only the right nozzle while printing, there is nothing to worry about.
yes the left does seem to print fine on the left. okay i will try that and report back. thank you.
Check your filament path.
I think your nozzle is pulled back because of counterforce of the filament path.
Maybe try a single piece of filament without feeding tubes or any other guide and print a first layer.
If you see your nozzle slightly rise and fall while extruding/retracting, there is too much counterforce for the raising mechanism of the dual extruder.
Where is your spool positioned?
Do you use the original holders and tubes?
A simple workaround would be to put the spools into the enclosure or, like I wrote before, to cut a piece of filament to see if the first layer of the right extruder simply prints.
Observing the print by sitting near and looking at the behaviour could solve it fast.
I have the filament sitting in one of those boxes that warms the filament. I have it sitting on top of the enclosure. I tried a print on the original 3D printing module, and I got the same result. I will try a print without having them in the box and put it back on the original spool holder. It’s odd, though, because I’ve printed a ton with the box, and it suddenly started doing this.
Wondering about the contrast of your statements.
The last picture seems wet filament to me but let’s see how your next prints look like.
Unfortunately you have more than one problem here..
