Hello everyone,
cleaning my machine at the moment and was wondering if any one else had noticed such a shape on their lens ? Is it a problem for focus or power ?
I’m bit worried trying to clean it cause i have read about some mostly making it worse…
Any help is much appreciated 🙂

Have a look at this:

First, I thought it may had been caused by uneven wood plates with the focus being off or inconsistency of the hardness of the wood. But looking at the lens the reason was quite obvious. I cleaned mine by soaking a cotton swap in an [alcohol pad](https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004828873748.html) and wiped the lens clock-wise as described by the [user guide](https://s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/snapmaker.com/download/manual/10W_Laser_Module_EN_V1.0.0.pdf#page=41). Hello Phil,
The lens definitely needs to be cleaned here. Don’t worry, nothing can happen as long as you clean it as Snapmaker says, namely with this product (see picture).
Take a cotton bud and dip it into the liquid. Now move it in a circular motion over the lens. Then simply wait until the liquid has evaporated.
And the laser is ready for the next use!

After a couple of hours operational the lens of my 10W module doesn’t look like that.

Snapmaker recommends to clean the lens at least once a week.
